Celebrating 1 Year of Mangal Lakshmi and its Phenomenal Impact!

Mangal Lakshmi is a show which earned our admiration right from the start. Today, the show celebrates one year of being on our screens!

 

 

With its honest and heartwarming portrayal of the tale of two sisters, there were many reasons to fall in love with the show. Mangal Lakshmi has been able to neatly execute classic and new plots in a fresh way, making them more relatable and appealing to the audience.

We were finally able to see two sisters supporting each other and being each other’s strength rather than seeing two sisters being at loggerheads. Another way this show broke away from television stereotypes is the bond between Mangal and her mother-in-law, Kusum. Their bond plays a strong role in reshaping and updating the mindsets of society. The friendship between Lakshmi and Raghuveer is a fresh portrayal of friendship, proving that the best of friends can be someone of another gender.

Whether it’s Mangal’s journey to independence and making a name for herself after deceit or Lakshmi’s journey of receiving and accepting true love, this show has the viewers rooting for the two sisters all the way. The chemistry among the cast members is praiseworthy as so many bonds create magic on screen. Mangal-Lakshmi, Mangal-Kusum, Mangal-Adit, Lakshmi- Kartik and Mangal-Kartik are just a few of the bonds where lovely chemistry shines.

Even as performers, the cast excels in their roles. Deepika Singh, Sanika Amit, Naman Shaw, Urvashi Upadhyay, Shubham Dipta, Jia Mustafa, Gayatri Soham, Sangeeta Panwar and Sarwar Ahuja are some of the noteworthy performances on the show so far.

While at present, the stories of Mangal and Lakshmi are separated, we hope we get to see the Saxenas and Nigams reuniting at regular intervals. After all, it’s the connection between the two sisters and families that made us fall in love with the show in the first place.

(And yes, we also wish for Soumya’s exposé to finally happen and for Gayatri to finally accept Lakshmi! LOL!).
