Imlie recently underwent a major development, which saw Sai Ketan Rao’s character Agastya dying. The actor made a thundering return to the show with his new character of Agastya’s twin, Surya Pratap Reddy. We are in love with his new character, and share a few reasons why!
Style
Surya looks dashing with his casual yet smart look. The combination of jeans and a shirt, accompanied by a belt seems to be doing wonders for the character, capturing Surya’s street-smart and massy character. Surya also dons a chain around his neck, adding to the style factor of Surya.
Humour
Surya brings humour to many of his dialogues. For example, he refers to Imlie as ‘Radha Rani ka Fangirl’ now and then, and also has some interesting catchphrases. He is also quite a drama queen sometimes, especially when Imlie is around! We think he is hilarious!
Touch of Culture
Surya Pratap Reddy grew up in the South in a Telugu-speaking family. Some of Surya’s dialogues are also in Telugu, and it adds an authentic and fresh touch to the show.
Family Man
One of the similarities between Agastya and Surya is that they love their family dearly. The difference is that Surya has the family who raised him, and now the Chaudharys too. Surya is currently pulling all the stops to uncover the truth about his brother-in-law’s disappearance, which shows he will go to any length for the ones he loves.
