Raghav Thakur, who plays the lead in Colors TV show Suhaagan as Krishna Shukla, says that Ganesh Chaturthi has always been a very significant festival in his family. He adds that he is a devout worshipper of Bappa and believes in his powers immensely.
“Ganesh Chaturthi is not just a festival but an emotion for everyone. Every year the fervor is on such great scale that nobody wants to be left out of the celebration of his presence. Since the time I moved to Mumbai Ganpati Bappa is like a friend and guide I turn too. For someone living in Mumbai Ganpati Bappa is like a parent, companion, and guide. I always visit Siddhivinayak Temple in my happy and sad times, being just around him gives me peace,” he says.
Talking about his plans for this year, he says,
“I am shooting for the show and I don’t have much time but I am visiting friend’s place as he has welcomed Bappa and I won’t miss a chance to be with him. As for yummy food, I absolutely love eating churma laddoo and ukadiche modaks just like Bappa likes.”
Ask him what he will pray for this year, and he says,
“I am grateful to Bappa that he has helped me in every stage of my life from coming to Mumbai to getting good work. I shall just ask him to keep showering his blessings and giving me the strength to do all the hard work for everything he has planned for me. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
