Actor Sourabh Raaj Jain has taken a road less traveled as he steps into the world of news and turns host for a leading news channel. Sourabh who had started his career with Remix has been a RJ and juggled between various genres on television including fiction and nonfiction. The actor who made his OTT debut in 2021 also has a multitude of Webshows and a film releasing soon. And now as per latest buzz, Sourabh’s photos that had been circulating in various avatars were in fact just a tease leading to his upcoming project, as the actor turns host for a news channel.
Sourabh will be seen in the 9 PM slot daily as the voice of the common man. Speaking about the same Sourabh says,
“I am someone who has always been updated with the latest news and happenings in our country as well as globally. When this opportunity came my way, I was initially puzzled. How would I host a news show? And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that being the common man myself, I would love to become the voice of the common man. So then why not?”
Ask him does that mean acting is going to take a sabbatical and he says,
“No, never! I am an actor and I shall always remain one. But I can be an actor and a host together. And that’s the thing, one doesn’t need a plan B always in life because you can walk on two paths simultaneously. And these two which I can easily manage because the hosting part takes such a small part of my day that I have the rest to work in any industry be it TV shows, OTT web series or anything I wish to. And I am really looking forward to juggling between the two as that in itself is going to be quite a learning experience for me, to be able to switch on the same day between the two.”
