Actress Samridhii Shukla, who’s currently winning hearts for her performance as Saavi in Saavi Ki Savaari talks about Independence Day in this special piece, and what makes us more amazed is the perspective of this young starlet towards it which is way matured and sorted which is surely commendable and something to look forward to.
The actress speaks loud and clear about what Independence Day means for her, she says
“Independence today for me means the freedom for women to work, the freedom of choice as careers, choosing life partners or how you want to go about your life because the kind of freedom women had has been really different, even today people listen to their families and take decisions but there is a lot of freedom now. Mutual understanding is there. Also the freedom of going out and knowing that you will be safe because Mumbai is safe and feel proud and all thanks to the Mumbai Police”
Furthermore she added how the modern age which is completely social media driven has misinterpreted the meaning of freedom and some are even misusing it, left, right and centre. She adds
“Some people believe in let and let live and some people don’t. When I think of this, I think of social media and there are people who don’t get affected by this and take it as a joke and there are a set of people who will create controversies and shame them. I find it confusing. We are a generation of people that get offended a lot and that’s because social media does that to you. It gives you voice but how you use it is very important”
On the professional front, Samridhii is seen playing the titular role in her show Saavi Ki Savaari apart from that she is also a multifaceted talented dubbing artist and has lent her voice to several projects on OTT.
