“I am very proud of the fact that I got to be a part of such a masterpiece. I want people to remember me forever by that name that changed my life and gave me so much. It also gave hope to millions, gave them strength and probably a voice too,” she sounds emotional.
The makers, according to her, did not expect that the show would do this well. Balika Vadhu did change many lives.
“It was a hope for a new channel and no one imagined how it was going to turn out. Even recently after it was aired around the world and received so much recognition l realised what impact it had on the audience and how important it is to have messages along with entertainment. At that time the writers dared to deliver more than the typical saas-bahu sagas and it changed the whole scenario of the industry. I feel utmost gratitude every single day to be associated with something so important,” adds the actor.
Avika recently made her Bollywood debut with the Vikram Bhatt film, 1920:Horrors of the Heart.
