Looks like his dream role has materialised, says actor Lokit Phulwani, who plays the role of Hafiz in Prateek Sharma’s (Studio LSD) Rabb Se Hai Dua. The actor says that he has always been on the look out for an interesting, positive character and Hafiz is someone who he relates to.
“It’s an important character where I play the role of Dua’s brother. I am completely in sync with the character as it reflects my own positive personality. I was extremely excited as it was like what I had always wanted to do, a strong positive character,” he says.
The actor adds that saying his dialogues with a touch of Urdu is not challenging for him.
“Practice can help achieve anything. I feel, being from north India, and raised in Dubai, Urdu is a language I am quite familiar with,” he says.
The TV industry has evolved, says Lokit, adding,
“As an actor, I see much more content, more competitiveness and of course a better working environment and framework. I am my own inspiration. Acting is something which comes to me naturally. From my childhood, I had dreamt of becoming an actor one day. I decided to take the risk and left my very well-paid job in Dubai and came to Mumbai to realise my dream into reality. The most important part of being an actor is to do hard work and have patience. I personally believe in being focused on what one wants to achieve in life. One needs to keep working hard and have patience, it will pay off one day.”
Meanwhile, talking about working with producer Prateek Sharma and Studio LSD, he says,
“I don’t know Mr. Sharma personally but have heard a lot about his dedication and attention to detail. Working with LSD is indeed a great opportunity for me.”
