Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Sharan Anandani talks about playing Vansh and the show

A time leap in a daily soap marks the beginning of a new chapter and gives the story a much-needed push. In a bid to keep the audience engaged and spruce up the drama, the makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH), have introduced a one-year time leap on the show. Sharan Anandani, who plays Vansh, is hoping for his character to undergo a transformation soon.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

He shares,

“I expect my character to become more mature than what it has been shown as in the last 10 months. I feel as an elder brother, if he acts over-enthusiastic and energetic, he may come across as immature. So, I want the team to make certain changes in my character, also because we’re targeting a mature audience and not just the youth.”

He adds,

“However, I am glad that the character is more in demand than before. It feels nice to be more involved in scenes and storylines. That’s what an actor aspires to do. No one wants to stand like a prop in a corner and not be utilised. I am also happy with my new look. My wardrobe has changed and I have got a new hairstyle. Fortunately, people are loving the show and my character as well. They find my portrayal of the character convincing and I have received amazing feedback for it.”

While he hopes for his character to undergo certain changes in the near future, he feels blessed to be a part of YRKKH. He says,

“I would reiterate that the show has given me a lot — love, recognition, and success. I’m grateful to Rajan (Shahi) sir’s Director’s Kut Productions (DKP) for bringing me on board and making me a part of YRKKH. I have a better understanding of camera angles, positions, cues, and lighting. Also, this being my first show, it had exposed me to the world of television. I am sure that everything I learn during the course of this show will come in handy for my future projects.”

The actor is also all praise for Rajan Shahi and his team.

“This is a very nice team, and everyone is extremely hardworking. They are warm and accommodating,” he concludes.
