The actress, who is known for her role of Devyani Chavan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Krishna Raj in Afsar Bitiya, says that a side hustle always helps.

“That is the harsh reality of life. It’s easy to not have a Plan B and just wait for the right opportunity if you don’t have rent to pay or staff to take care of. I don’t want to sound like a dream crasher but having a side hustle always helps. When you have money flowing in your account it definitely gives you the liberty to choose the right kind of role. Social media has opened a lot of doors now. So, if one is not working as an actor, one can surely make use of different social media mediums. It not just satisfies the creative thirst of an artist but if the content is worthy it can be monetized. And the popularity is huge!” she says.

She adds,

“I am involved in theatre and keep performing in plays while I am not committed to any project on TV. I have a YouTube channel BADMAASH BANNO where I put original and cover songs sung by me. I am also pretty active on my Instagram where I interact with my fans and present meaningful and original content to them.”

The actress says that an actor must continue to work on his craft.

“Talent makes an actor and her popularity makes her a star. I feel the direction in which our industry is moving, one needs to be an amazing performer or actor if one is in it for a long haul. The competition serves as a motivation to strive and work hard and achieve your goal. For me it’s always been that way,” she says.
She adds that one must know one’s strengths well.
“To each his own. I always say that one has to do a self-analysis before having any aspirations. It always helps to keep a check on reality and also helps you to improve in the areas which should match your aspirations,” she says, adding, “More than talent, I feel, luck matters. One has to be at the right place at the right time. Your last name definitely gives you an edge over others.”
