Sangeeta Panwar: Prince Is A Very Jolly, Happy-Go-Lucky Guy!

It takes a special kind of talent to act in a negative or grey role and be appreciated for it. And actress Sangeeta Panwar, who plays Kamala (Lucky’s Tai Ji) in producers Dipti Kalwani (‘Sunny Side Up’), Sushant Kumar and Teenna Swayyam’s (Humtum Telefilms) show ‘Badho Bahu’, has nailed it in that aspect.

The actress is getting a lot of good feedback, in the form of ill wishes, for her portrayal of a grey, nasty character. She said:

“Everyone is cursing my character, Tai ji. I am getting all sorts of taunts for her role. But it is good. It means that I’m playing the grey shade very well. Those who know me personally know I am not at all like Kamla Tai ji, which is why a lot of people are impressed. I even got a call from a radio station in Kolkata from fans who said they love my character.”

While Sangeeta is getting a lot of good feedback for her on screen role, even off screen, she is quite pleased about working with an incredible crew. She reveals:

“I am working with producers Dipti Kalwani, Sushant Kumar and Teenna Swayyam for the first time. There are very few producers who treat you like a family, and Dipti, Sushant and Teenna are exactly like that. They are very active and helpful, which is why, as actors, we are able to grow and give our best for every scene.”

About her co-stars Pince and Rytasha, Sangeeta said:

“Prince is a very jolly, happy-go-lucky guy. His sense of humour on the sets is what makes it fun to work with him. Rytasha is a very hard-working girl. She is a very good actress and when she acts, she puts all her heart into the character which makes her performance feel very real.”

So, are there any dream roles which Sangeeta would be willing to explore in the future? She replied:

“I always take the roles which I find challenging. But since you ask, I would love to play a mentally-challenged person. I also want to play an inspector on screen. I believe they are rather interesting and will challenge me as an actor.”
