The world celebrates International Yoga Day today. This day aims to raise awareness about the various physical, mental and spiritual benefits of practising yoga. The theme of International Yoga Day 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which rightfully captures the sentiment of “One Earth, One Family, and One Future”. Actor Rajat Barmecha who captivated the audience with his acting capabilities in ‘Kachhey Limbu’ penned a heartfelt note to express how Yoga changed him as a person.
The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared beautiful picture of himself posing, he wrote,
”Celebrations are nice and it’s so lovely to have a day to celebrate #Yoga . #InternationalYogaDay is just a day to celebrate what we should love and live and celebrate rest 364 days of the year as well. Personally, Yoga has been one of the biggest blessing I received around a year and a half back when @tarini.sawant introduced me to it and I did a 200 hour yoga course with her. It introduced me to a world I had never experienced before. It got me so much closer to myself and made me calmer and better aligned.
One of the biggest learning I had there was not the physical part of yoga which we normally associate yoga with but the wisdom that physical yoga is just a part of yoga but in a bigger picture yoga is also how you are every second of your life. Without sounding cliché, yoga is also about living every moment and observing and reacting to that moment in a yogic way. This is what I took from my time there and I try each day to live like that. Sometimes I succeed and other times I learn. I am extremely happy and proud to have welcomed yoga in my life and growing with it on a daily basis.
So just like this picture, yoga has me flying in Love every time”.
On the professional front, Rajat was appreciated by the critics and the audience for his spectacular performance in ‘Kachhey Limbu’ which was produced by Jio Studios. The actor has interesting lineups of project stored in the pipeline for him which will be announced soon.
