Umesh Shukla gave us Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor together on the silver screen after 27 years in 102 Not Out. The director Umesh Shukla is now all set for his next, Namune – a situational comedy film.
Recently, the news that Abhimanyu Dassani and Mrunal Thakur were part of the cast of Umesh Shukla’s next. Now, we hear that Paresh Rawal and Arshad Warsi will join the Namune team.
Abhimanyu’s debut was Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota opposite Radhika Madan. Mrunal Thakur was last in Super 30 opposite Hrithik Roshan. The two will play the main leads in the sit-com film.
Another tit-bit news is that the film will go on floor next month and will shoot in India and abroad. Namune will be backed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
On the work front, Dassani is also part of Sabbir Khan’s Nikamma opposite YouTube sensation Shirley Setia. Mrunal Thakur is in this week’s release, Batla House, with John Abraham and also in Farhan Akhtar starrer Toofan.
