Actor Ranaksh Rana, who is part of music video Fidaai and Bagh Na Jara, says that festivals are great for uplifting his mood. The actor adds that they give you a lot of perspective towards life.
“The vibrant feel of the festive season is great for our mental health. It’s a good reason to take a break and appreciate life. It’s a good way to end the year on a high note. Important to understand the roots too of why we celebrate,” he says.
“Collective energy affects individual energy. A general sense of elevated mood is in the air. Humans can’t exist in isolation. We all belong together. So, a sense of community is good to experience during festivals. The general mood becomes positive so every aspect of life becomes better.”
Good company matters the most at festivals, says the actor, adding,
“I think festivals are a way to bring people together. Good company can make anything better. Festivals being an occasion to celebrate something good, of course makes you want to be with your loved ones.”
“I respect roots, cultures and traditions. It is important to know the why of something. Traditional way of living doesn’t mean not making your life convenient with technological advancement. But the priorities have to be set. Human connections can never be replaced by virtual wishes. The feeling of sitting with family and enjoying savouries during a festival can’t be compared to a video call. I believe technology has helped us stay in touch even when we are away and live far off from family but that’s a positive use of it.”
