Shah Rukh Khan’s last release, Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai may not have fared well at the box office but the actor doesn’t seem demotivated. In fact, the fate of the film at the BO seems to have motivated him to do better with his next – a biopic on Rakesh Sharma.
SRK is all set to begin shooting for the biopic based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma tentatively titled Salute. Earlier, the film was supposed to go on floors in May this year, however, the makers have now decided to start rolling it from February.
Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and helmed by Mahesh Mathai, the film’s first schedule is expected to begin in Mumbai’s Film City. The construction work for film’s set has already started there. If reports are to be believed, SRK decided to prepone film’s shoot schedule to shift his focus from Zero’s debacle. The decision – taken by the actor and producer – aims to wrap up the film’s main schedule before summers.
We also hear that Shah Rukh Khan will soon start prepping for his role.
