- Bombairiya- 11 January:
Directed by Pia Sukanya and written and produced by Michael E. Ward, the film stars Radhika Apte, Siddhanth Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi, Adil Hussain, Ravi Kishan, Amit Sial, Ajinkya Deo and Shilpa Shukla. The story revolves around Meghna, who gets embroiled in a series of events after her phone gets stolen.
- The Accidental Prime Minister- 11 January:
Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, the film stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh.
- Uri: The Surgical Strike- 11 January:
Directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, and Yami Gautam. The film is about the 2016 Indian Army’s surgical strikes on Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri attack.
- Amavas- 11 January:
Directed by Bhushan Patel, starring Nargis Fakhri, Mona Singh, and Sachin Joshi, Amavas is a horror-thriller.
- Battalion 609- 11 January:
Directed by Brijesh Batuknath Tripathi, starring Shoaib Ibrahim, Elena Kazan, Farnaz Shetty, the movie revolves around a cricket match between the Indian Army and the Pakistan army gone wrong and narrates the tale of the brave soldiers of Battalion 609 putting up a fight with the mighty Taliban.
- Rangeela Raja- 14th January:
Directed by Sikander Bharti and written and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani, the film stars Govinda, Mishika Chourasia and Anupama Agnihotri. Rangeela Raja is a comedy film about two brothers who lead completely different lifestyles and the things that happen in their life.
- Fraud Saiyaan- 18th January:
Directed by Sourabh Shrivastava and produced by Prakash Jha and Disha Jha, the film stars Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla and Sara Loren in lead roles. It is the story of a con artist in North India who convinces women to marry him just so he can live off their money.
- Thackeray- 23rd January:
Directed by Abhijit Panse, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Balasaheb Thackeray. The film revolves around the life of Bal Thackeray, the founder of the Indian political party Shiv Sena.
- Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi- 25th January:
Directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut and produced by Zee Studios, the film stars Kangana Ranaut as Rani Laxmibai. The story revolves around the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
- Cheat India- 25th January:
Directed by Soumik Sen, Cheat India stars Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary. The movie is about the existing malpractices in the country’s education system, the whole concept of buying your way through education, jobs, and earnings.
