Nawazuddin Siddiqui: The First Time I Got To Know That I’m Doing This Role, I Couldn’t Believe It

As you might be aware, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen playing the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray in his biopic titled, Thackeray. The trailer of the film was launched today in Mumbai.

At the trailer launch, Nawazuddin Siddiqui seemed ecstatic to be a part of the film.

He said:

“The first time I got to know that I’m doing this role, I couldn’t believe it. It was a great moment in my life. I was really overjoyed as I think it’s the most challenging role of my life. As time passed, I became more nervous as I didn’t know how I would be able to do the role. My director Abhijit Panse really supported me and gave me confidence. It’s a very big thing for an actor like me to play Balasaheb’s Thackeray’s role. I’ve tried to play the role up to the mark. Balasaheb’s personality is so vast that we can just try to reach there.”
