America’s viral subway singer Mike Yung and Martin Garrix team up to bring us the hit Dreamer
Martin Garrix being the worlds’s number 1 Dj, released a song with Mike Yung called Dreamer! Martin Garrix continues his blistering run of form with a new track. Dreamer is an anthemic single that adds to Garrix’ broad spectrum of collaborations.
Dreamer is a collaboration with viral sensation, MIKE YUNG . A former soul singer with an incredible story. He had his first ever collaboration with a big established artist. Signed in the 1980s to T.Electric. Mike later fell on hard times, living on the street in New York, attacked by gangs and stabbed. He spent 38 years busking on the subway to support his family in Brooklyn before appearing on America’s Got Talent. Mike made the semi-finals in the show.
The song embodies the uplifting feel that characterizes his return to the spotlight. His soulful delivery soar over a euphoric Garrix pop production. Gospel style choir harmonies lift the track towards the end. A powerful video showing Yung singing the track in his old stomping ground of the New York subway. The video continues his journey through his Brooklyn projects, through to Amsterdam where he records the track alongside Garrix in the studio.
