Anurag Kashyap, of Phantom Film, spoke about this incident and posted a statement. He wrote:

The filmmaker is no longer a part of Phantom Films now.
Vikramaditya Motwane, who is also a co-founder of Phantom Films, finally issued a statement regarding this matter. He posted:
