ZEE5’s Rangbaaz is garnering eyeballs for its stellar cast. First, we reported that actor Saqib Saleem has been cast as the main lead for ZEE5‘s next Original, Rangbaaz. We later shared with you guys the news that talent house, Ranvir Shorey, too joined the team. Now joining them is Lipstick Under My Burkha fame actress Aahana Kumra.
The actress will be essaying the character of Babita – a street smart and sassy girl, who is the love interest of Saqib Saleem.
Aahana Kumra said,
“Besides being the lead character’s love interest, Babita also has a lot of layers. She is lovestruck yet fiercely loyal, brave, street smart and knows to stand up for herself despite societal pressures. Set against the background of Gorakhpur, Rangbaaz is a story of a man who encounters the dark and dirty world of crime. The show will depict the grey layers of one of the most feared gangsters of the region from the 90’s.
Rangbaaz is written by RJ Siddharth and produced by JAR Pictures. The shoot for the same has already begun and will premiere on ZEE5 later this year.
