Ranvir Shorey, an acclaimed actor and former VJ, has joined the cast of ZEE5’s next Original, Rangbaaz. The actor who is known for his quirky and eccentric roles will play the role of Siddharth Pandey, a no-nonsense, straight-arrow cop who will be spearheading the task force featured in the show.
Recently, ZEE5 had announced Saqib Saleem will play a gangster – a dark but honest and relatable character, in the original.
Talking about joining the team, Ranvir Shorey said,
“I am extremely happy to work with ZEE5 on my digital debut! I am constantly trying to experiment with newer characters. The role is quite different from what I have done previously, and I am hoping the audience will like my new avatar.”

Rangbaaz tells the story of a man who encounters the dark and dirty world of crime. Set against the rustic background of Gorakhpur, the show will depict the grey layers of one of the most feared gangsters of the region from the 90’s.
Written by RJ Siddharth, the shoot for Rangbaaz has already begun. It is produced by JAR Pictures, the show will premiere on ZEE5 later this year.
