The trailer of the upcoming mega-budget action-adventure fantasy film, Thugs of Hindostan, by Yash Raj Films, will release on Thursday, September 27. Ask why this specific date? Well, it’s Yash Chopra’s birthday, so there can’t be a better day.
Revealed a source close to the development,
“Thugs of Hindostan is an incredibly special film for Adi. It is not only YRF’s biggest production, but it is also the biggest film of the Indian film industry. Thugs is a visionary project. It is going to be a stand out product in terms of scale and imagination. It will match the visual scale of any big-ticket Hollywood film that audiences have seen. Yash Chopra is a legend whose films and imagination shaped Bollywood as it stands today. He was a path-breaker, content disruptor and a true innovator. So, Adi and Aamir discussed and decided to release the trailer on the birth anniversary of the iconic filmmaker, Yash Chopra. It is a salute to his genius vision.”
Said to be the most expensive Yash Raj Film to ever been made, the film is in news since the days its cast was announced. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivoting roles. The film is being helmed by Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya. Thugs of Hindostan is set to hit the screens on November 8.
