Content on Indian television is rapidly dropping year after year. But one particular show has got viewers glued to the screens for 11 seasons now! The controversial reality show Bigg Boss, has recorded the highest TRP ratings for several years in the past. But has recently witnessed a drop in its viewership.
But there are a few celebrities in the industry who choose to keep themselves away from such ‘nonsensical shows’. Patel ki Punjabi Shaadi actress Payal Ghosh is one of them. Witnessing all the banter on social media regarding the show she says,
“Bigg Boss is so overrated. Everyone wants to shout the loudest, fight the most, and create maximum drama so that the camera knows where to focus. Fights break out for no apparent reason till someone breaks down. Five minutes later, the process repeats itself. Is this what our television shows have come to be?”
She further adds,
“I prefer reading a good book rather than watching a crass and mindless show like Bigg Boss which is a sheer waste of time!”.
Probably its time to go away with such content.
