We all know that Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is about improving the sanitation conditions in India, with emphasis on the eradication of open defecation in public areas, especially in the rural areas of India which is a big issue for women.
Recently during media interaction Akshay said:
“I would like the media to write about what the problem is of not having a toilet. Don’t write about my movie I won’t mind but write what a woman has to go through. I have met so many women who have to go far for toilets.”
“A women came crying to me and said “Please make a toilet at our place because everyday we have to go far early morning just to do toilet. Our husbands don’t make toilet at home. Full day we have to control our pee. After sunset only we can go to pee and that to in a group because we are scared that we might get raped.” That is why I would request you all do write about the problems rather than writing about the movie. It would be a big help.”
We like that you care more about the problems of our country than your movie Akshay! Kudos to you! J
