Hindi Series Worth Binge Watching
Netflix, Amazon Prime and so many more streaming services have offered content creators a new space to tell their narratives. There are many Hindi shows being added on to these platforms. Here are a list of shows that I definitely think is binge worthy! So grab on to your tissues, popcorn and blanket as these shows take you on an emotional roller-coaster.
I’ve categorized each series according to the platform that it streams on!
AMAZON PRIME
Made in Heaven (2019)
Directed by: Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Niya Mehra and Alankrita Shrivastava.
Starring: Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh.
The series follows two wedding planners who are based in Delhi, India. Tara played by Sobhita Dhulipala, Karan played by Arjun Mathur. The series addresses multiple issues that the modern day Indian society faces, from issues of sexuality, and more. The drama series has 9 episodes. In which the audience learns more about the characters backstories, and how these two wedding planners not only help couples plan weddings, but go the extra mile, even if it means digging up the potential bride’s past in order to make the parents of the groom happy. I don’t want to give too much of the show away, but its definitely worth the watch, you can stream the series on Amazon Prime.

Four More Shots Please (2019)
Directed by: Anu Menon.
Starring: VJ Bani, Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo.
The series is set in Mumbai. Four female friends all with their own issues, but they all have something in common. Love, and having a shot at the bar. The series follows Damini, a journalist with OCD and a love for telling stories. Umang a bisexual personal trainer who is extremely passionate about physical fitness. Siddhi is the youngest of the friends who is a virgin, and her mother is constantly bothering her about marriage. Anjana is a single mother, who is divorced and has a four-year-old daughter. They all meet at their favourite spot for drinks called the “Truck Bar” where the bartender played by Prateik Babbar knows them as usual customers. The series looks at the various different challenges the ladies face along their own personal journeys. If you love romcoms then this one is certainly for you!

Delhi Crime (2019)
Directed by: Richie Mehta.
Starring: Shefali Shah,Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang.
Delhi Crime, looks at the 2012 gang rape that occurred in Delhi which is also known as the Nirbhaya case. Hence, the series is based on the case files from the Nirbhaya case and therefore follows the Delhi police as they search for those who were responsible. The series is limited with 7 episodes, as they follow police commissioner Vartika Chaturvedi as she leads the investigation.

Sacred Games (2018)
Starring: Saif Ali Khan Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte.
Sacred games is a Netflix original series that is based of Vikram Chandra 2006 novel. The series follows Sartaj Singh a police office that is based in Mumbai, after he receives a call from a gangster that has been missing for over 16 years and tells him to save the city in 25 days. The series has a total of 8 episodes and follows the events that unfold after the phone call. You can expect to see a second season of Sacred games soon, as it was announced that it had be renewed.
