We had our Crown The Brown fam share their love stories with us so that we can celebrate the love! It is time to get those tissues because there are some cute stories coming your way this Valentines Day. So, brace yourself, here are some of our favourite love stories:
Terrini and Chyvan
Terrini :
Chyvan:
Terrini and I have been dating now for almost 7 years. However, we’ve know each other for almost all our lives. We started off as close friends and I guess life just did the rest. I believe she’s my life companion because she’s been my clear mind and my support structure. She’s shown me that beauty is more than skin deep and her selflessness still amazes me till this day.
Allisha and Nickeal
Many people believe that long distance relationships are never going to work out. Nobody says it’s going to be easy. However, the extra distance also makes the simplest things the sweetest, being able to hold the other person’s hand, eating together at the same table, feeling each other’s touch, taking a walk together… these small wishes suddenly mean so much more in a long distance relationship.
The first time he saw me he could not recognize who I was even after speaking to each other every day. We laughed about this and still do. Our relationship kicked off as best friends. Knowing everything about each other and comforting each other in times of need.
He moved to another province for work, and we became lonely without each other’s presence. It was the distance that made us notice the bond we share, turning our friendship into love. We accept each other’s flaws, we find happiness together, we see perfect imperfections in each other, and we wait for months to see each other but we also know it’s always worth it.
Keshia and Allwyn
Shanine and Aavarn
Damigio and Thiveshan
Des and Denise
We met through family-friends. We were introduced in the year 2009 and dated on and off in Durban for about 6 months. When I moved to Gauteng at the beginning of 2010, I didn’t realize Des had plans to move as well. Four months after I moved up, he also came up to Johannesburg. We moved in together and married in 2015. Our story is one filled with love, adventure and silly moments! We love trying out new restaurants, binge-watching exciting series and spending quality time with our precious friends and family during holidays and weekends. Also, spa days we enjoy taking a break every now and then.
Reevana and Chad
We have been together for 11 years, married for 7 and are proud parents to two beautiful daughters. Ours is a story akin to old school Bollywood – having first bumped into each other at an audition for a lifestyle show we chatted enthusiastically between takes and then parted ways for a few months. January 2009 ignited our love story when we were cast opposite each as love interests in a Bollywood inspired musical – needless to say, the love story continued off stage and our lives have been interlocked ever since….
Tamera and Bradley
We met in 2017. We started of as friends and it grew into something beautiful. After a few months of being weird and shy. he asked me out. There were many obstacles in our relationship but we overcame everything, We knew that we were meant to be. He proposed and we got married on the 16th of December 2018 and we had a gorgeous baby girl the year later. If our love could be converted into electricity, there wouldn’t be load-shedding because being in love with your best friend is the best feeling in the world.
Kashini and Michael
Michael and I went to the same high school and were in the same grade yet we never really talked. After high school we started talking and later became friends. We were friends for a few years before we realized we had this special spark. We’ve been together for two years and being in an interracial relationship comes with its challenges but together we deal with it positively. He is one of the most genuine and honest people I know. Through thick and thin, I know his hand will be there to hold. With him in my life, everyday has become phenomenal.
Spread the Love this month!
