Namkaaran is my birthday gift for the year – Gulfam Khan

Seasoned actress Gulfam Khan is seen in a powerful character in Mahesh Bhatt’s new show Naamkaraan and the actor is very excited to portray the role. Gulfam will be seen as Nanno who is mother of Barkha Bisht Sengupta in the show. Incidentally Gulfam got this role during her birthday this year on 6th June. She says,

“I was at Lonavala with my husband celebrating my birthday and then I got this offer. I was asked for an audition and since I was in Lonavala the best I could do was shoot an audition from my smartphone and my husband helped me to do that. He was the one who shoot my audition video and this was how I got Nanno.”

Talking more on the role Gulfam says,

“I have a very glam look in the show she is a lady who smokes and drink too And is always very decked up.  Nanno as I’m called shares a fantastic relationship with her daughter and grand daughter Avni. With her daughter she shares a very unconventional relationship where sometimes roles seem to reverse and Asha is more of mother to her ( Nanno)”

Gulfam also shares a special feedback from someone who is actually the creator of the show none other than Mahesh Bhatt.
