Shweta Subram Teams with Juno Award winning ‘Sultans of String’ to bring you ‘Parchan Shaal Panhwar’!

Music is known to transcend all barriers, and where there’s a common love for music, success is inevitable! Shweta Subram has collaborated with Toronto’s Juno Award winning Sultans Of String and sitarist Anwar Khurshid for the track, “Parchan Shaal Panhwar.”  It is a must add to your playlist!

Parchan Shaal Panhwar‘ is a beautiful Sindhi metaphor and a traditional Sindhi folk song, which simply translates into ‘A personal struggle for freedom.‘  Shweta’s soulful voice wonderfully compliments the melodic sounds of the Sultans of String.  This is a match made in musical heaven!

Shweta was first contacted by Chris McKhool (bandleader and violinist of SOS) after he came across her successful collaboration with the ‘The Piano Guys’ on their hit ‘Don’t you worry – Khushnama.’ This upbeat fusion has now crossed over 15 million views online!

The Sultans of String are incredibly excited to introduce their new sounds with the melodic Shweta Subram! Speaking about the collaboration, Chris McKhool said,

“We were very excited when Shweta agreed to lend her vocals to the album. We were looking for a voice that is rustic yet unique and Shweta’s vocal performance in this song is absolutely stunning!”

We’re hoping this song leads to many more collaborations between the two Canadian music forces!
