Reimagining the Past at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016 – actress Aditi Rao Hydari graced the ramp wearing an off white Chanderi lehenga with antique beaten zardosi embroidery and a key hole choli with a grand chanderi dupatta.
This collection is inspired by the chic in the classic, the unusual in the traditional. It celebrates India’s vintage weaves and dyes even as it crafts them for the modern eye. It evokes something that is timeless – ‘Sita’, but with a contemporary streak – “Siaa”.
‘Siaa’ draws inspiration from a woman who wants to stick to a bit of the old, but is also willing to experiment with upcoming fashion trends. The designs are a result of looking into the past and its age-old traditional concepts, merging them with modern silhouettes to create a collection that is timeless!
Hues of Gold, intense reds, indigo’s beige and mustard come together to create this royal collection with a hint of edginess. Expect to find a lot of vegetable dye prints inspired from the leaves and flowers from The Tree of life!
