#EarthDay: Celebrities give tips on how to preserve Mother Earth!

Mother Earth is a precious gem which we often take for granted. This Earth Day, our favorite celebrities tell us why Mother Earth is so special to them and what they suggest we should all do to preserve the richness of the Earth for our future generations. Let’s check out what they have to say:

Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai : Global warming is becoming an issue. One should do environment friendly activities regularly including on World Earth Day. I intend to take few new potted plants and get my car check for PUC as well.

Vishal Singh : I’ll ensure that all the garbage wet and dry is separated before throwing. Clean air and clean water is the necessity everywhere. Environmental consciousness should be the way of life.

Himmanshoo Malhotra

Himmanshoo Malhotra : Water recycling is very important as we already have water shortage in the city and the state. The water used for washing vegetables should be used to water plants which would be indirect recycling of water.

Mrunal Jain : I ensure that less water is used for washing my car and one should do car pooling so there is less pollution as most actors working on the same show can save time and energy both by travelling together.

Adaa Khan : Birds and animals make an important part of our environment so I’ll ensure to keep a pot filled with water for the birds as crow and parrots often come in my balcony.

Ajay Chaudhary : People often forget to water the plants I would ensure that the trees and the plants in my locality are watered regularly. In the coming rainy season I would take an initiative to plant new saplings.

Krishna Gokani

Krishna Gokani : Water should be reused and the dry and wet garbage should be thrown separately. I live in Juhu and I would ensure plants and trees are taken care of.

Laksh Lalwani

Laksh Lalwani : In malls people waste a lot of food so we ourself should make sure we don’t do it as ‘change starts from us’ and lot of plastic is used too. We should encourage eco friendly crockery like paper plates, disposable cups and glasses.

Anirudh Dave

Aniruddh Dave : I make sure that electricity is saved as much as possible. One should switch A/C , fans and lights when not in use and also one should switch to use CFL lights instead of the regular ones. Energy Saving is the most important thing besides saving water and recycling in every possible way.

Shivin Narang
