Rajan Shahi’s family drama show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been doing well and has already touched many milestones since it launched. The show has found its place in the audience’s hearts around the world. This fact was proven recently, when the the cast and crew of the show witnessed the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand, Mr. Tanasak Patimapragorn. In addition to himself, 30 delegates joined Mr. Patimapragorn including Dr. Apinan Poshyanada – Permanent Secretary of Ministry at Culture and Sirin Surathin – Deputy Consul General of Thailand.
The creator of the show, Mr. Rajan Shahi was very happy and excited to meet Mr. Patimapragorn, as were the rest of the cast and crew.
Speaking of the meeting Rajan says,
“Myself, Hina and Karan gave him a guided tour of the set. The Thailand shoot happened 2 years back and he remembered everything and thanked us.”
A couple of years back when the unit of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai been to Thailand they actually had filmed the famous Marwari festival of Ghanghaur, there. It’s wonderful that Mr. Patimapragorn did not forget this shoot!
“Hina had dressed up as a Thai girl and celebrated Indian Festival of Ghanghaur and promoted the cultural bonding of India and Thailand, which he remembered and insisted on meeting YRKKH team thanking them. He cancelled other visits in film-city and came to give us a surprise visit on the set.”
What touched Rajan Shahi the most was the speech given by Mr. Patimapragorn. Rajan tells us,
“He told the press I want Akshaara and Naitik’s children to get married in Thailand because the show is about positivity, about family, and that makes our culture one.”
The fact that the shows message resonated so well with the dignitary is proof of how well it is written. We wish the YRKKH many more years of success!
