Bollywood stars attend Sion Carnival’s Fashion for a Cause

Jhelum  and New Hope Foundation collaborated to hold the Sion Carnival, a two-day cultural awareness, and fundraising program held in aid to support the Special Children, Widows, and Farmers. The event was hosted at the Sion Fort for the first time in the history of Mumbai. The two-day cultural carnival was graced by none other than the Bollywood diva, Isha Koppikar—who also contributed in the fundraising through her non-profit organization Soul Konnect Foundation. The event also attended by famous personalities like Krishika Lulla and Evelyn Sharma who dignified the prestigious award ceremony.

As a part of the fundraising, the cultural awareness program also included a series of activities like Sports and Entertainment activities for special children, Health awareness rallies, blood donation camp, Art and Cultural performances, a Musical performance by Shriram Iyer and much more.

Speaking on this occasion, A. Swamy, Founder and President, New Hope Foundation said,

“We started our foundation with the sole purpose of serving suffering humanity and empowering people. We are glad that we have been working towards it each time. We would like to specially thank Ms. Jhelum Gopal Dalvi, Ms. Isha Koppikar and her NGO Soul Konnect Foundation, Ms. Shriya Saran and Spandana Spa, Ms. Evelyn Sharma and her NGO Seams for Dreams Foundation, the MCGM North Ward, The Archaeological Survey of India and all the partners who have associated with us in this fundraising activity.”

Jhelum Gopal Dalvi, Founder of the concept-driven fashion destination, Jhelum added,

“We are glad to be associated with the New Hope Foundation for this special fundraising event. We, at Jhelum, have always believed in giving back to the society and Sion Carnival was the ideal platform.”

New Hope Foundation’s vice president, Aakash Gupta stated the proceeds of the Sion Carnival were donated to special children, widows and farmers.
