India’s leading fashion social network Roposo and The Moody Nation are taking you back to the era of innocent love with their collaboration on a music video titled ‘First Date’. The song has been voiced by the very talented Sonu Nigam and Jonita Gandhi. The team behind this initiative has earlier worked on films that were a raging success on social media, including ‘Jai Hind’ (OYO Rooms) starring Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon, and more recently, ‘The Homecoming’ (Urban Ladder) featuring Piyush, Mishra, Tapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh.
The album is co-written and directed and composed by Vinay Jaiswal. Vinay Jaiswal says,
“Sonu ji is a genius and do not need an introduction. When I was composing this song I felt that his singing style will fit in the song, his melodic voice and his passion will bring in life to this song. You can’t have better than Sonu Nigam for this song.
He adds,
“Shooting in Udaipur was so much fun, in fact it was so much help and hassle free. I would love to shoot inRajasthan again. This is our first musical short film and it was a fantastic experience. With the multitude of content floating on the web, it is important to churn out fresh, compelling stories that will resonate with viewers and I think we have managed to achieve that with this video.”
Set in the scenic locales of Udaipur, this video captures the essence of first dates and innocent love stories. In the precarious world of modern dating, a couple takes a step back to stand their ground during adversity and cherish what love truly means. Speaking about his experience, Sonu Nigam said,
“This song beautifully captures the unspoken sweet-nothings of young love. As an artist, I think The Moody Nation is providing a great platform and opportunity to budding talent. Also, I feel we should promote Indie music majorly. I had a wonderful experience working with the team. The song touched my heart and I am sure our audiences will resonate with its romantic melody”
