Netflix is everywhere, India too!

Netflix Inc. will now be available in India with plans starting at 500 rupees ($7.50) per month!

The announcement was made this afternoon by the company. Earlier in the afternoon the company’s shares were up 5.5% at $113.60.

The overdue speculations have come true and the company is now launching in the second-most populous country in the world. They will offer two other plans priced at 650 rupees and 800 rupees. Netflix is aggressively moving into new markets and is aiming to reach at least 200 countries by the end of the 2016! Users in India will have the same access as other countries. Such as Smart TV app access, video game consoles, streaming player, and on any smartphone and tablet.

This will hopefully decrease movie piracy in India as well.
