For years, everyone has wondered if it is possible for a star from India to successfully breakthrough in Hollywood. There is no need to wonder anymore because powerhouse Priyanka Chopra has proven that with talent one really can make it! Priyanka Chopra’s break out role in Hollywood was as the lead actress in ABC’s hit show Quantico. While still shooting Quantico, Priyanka continued to work in Bollywood where she was most recently seen in the super hit Bajirao Mastani. She has won many awards in Bollywood, but today on January 6, 2016, Priyanka won the Favorite New Actress in a TV Series award in Hollywood’s People’s Choice Awards 2016 – where it is the fans and people who vote! Also invited to present, when presenting with John Stamos, Priyanka said “This is what America is all about,” adding that it is amazing to be accepted in America despite being from another country. She thanked her team, her mom, and of course, the fans! So proud of our desi girl, Priyanka!
