Corsica is a little island between Italy and France. In the eyes of director Imtiaz Ali it is an extremely cinematic location and he’s so happy to be one of the first to capture this gorgeous city onto celluloid.
What’s so beautiful about every Imtiaz Ali film is her loves to capture exotic, unique locations, especially for Indian cinema and still be able to mesh Indian culture and roots into the film. He takes advantage of being able to utilize cinema to combine cultures and involve those living in the cities they shoot in, in his films.
In the song Matargashti we get a glance of the gorgeous setting of Corsica and according to Deepika and Ranbir it is a never-seen-before location. Deepika has mentioned that we will get a glance at all types of scenic locations. From mountains, to snow, to beautiful bodies of water and more!
