Based on Dharamvir Bharati’s epic novel, Gunahon Ka Devta, the takes you back to colonial India where Indians were parting from the bondage of slavery but not from the bondage of regresive thinking.
Despite numerous attempts in the past, film makkers have found it difficult to bring the characters of this novel to life. The only known adaption today is a movie with Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri and Rekha in the lead roles, but the film was never made it to the big screen. Now makers have decided to bring the book to life on television screens with Ek Thaa Chandar Ek Thi Sudha.
