He Named Me Malala – NY Premiere Coming this October!

The awaited documentary, He Named Me Malala opens in New York on October 2 and worldwide on October 9!

 

He Named Me Malala is an intimate portrait of Malala Yousafzai, who was wounded when Taliban gunmen opened fire on her and her friends’ school bus in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. The film gives us a glimpse of the extraordinary young girls life, from displaying her relationship with her father, to her love for education, to her impassioned speeches at the UN, to her day-to-day lifestyle with her family.

The film is directed by Davis Guggenheim a Fox Searchlight Pictures film produced by Laurie MacDonald and Walter F. Parks.
