With his powerful voice gracing latest compositions, Arijit Singh did nothing but enchant the audience last night at his concert at the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles. Accompanied by a full symphony orchestra and background singers, the audience, including myself, did not want to leave their seats.
Singing hit songs such as ‘Kabhi Jo Badal’, ‘Phir Mohabbat’, the first half of the show flew by as he did not even take a breath. Highlights of the show definitely have to be the moments where he seamlessly surprised the audience with hit numbers such as ‘Tere Bin’ and ‘Woh Lamhe’, songs that he has not originally sung but were a pleasure to hear in his voice.
Adding to the endless list of highlights, is his number on the piano where he connected with the older generations in the audience by singing a few historical numbers and then ending with a tribute to the late Aadesh Shrivastava, who recently passed. The second half also included a compilation of songs that have been an inspiration to him, hits such as ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Teri Deewani.’ With most of the audience at its feet by now, he closed the show with undoubtedly, his most famous hit, ‘Tum Hi Ho.’ All in all, Arijit Singh put on a truly melodious and memorable performance and LA cannot wait to have him back again!
