The dashing Romi of the Star Plus hit series has been finding it difficult to acquire a home for himself owing to ads which read,
“Car parking. Cross ventilation. Natural light. Cosmopolitan society. No Muslims.”
Prior to this Bollywood elites such as Shabana Azmi, Emraan Hashmi and the Nawab Saif Ali Khan also had a tough time finding a home for themselves.
Now one may wonder after 68 years of being an independent nation, how far have we really gotten from the sign boards which once use to read,
“No dogs and Indians allowed.”
