"It could have easily been done by a man, but a woman is doing it" - Tabu

National award winning actress Tabu is choosy when it comes to her film roles and the characters she takes up are remembered by the audience for years to come. Her upcoming film, Drishyam is no different. Tabu is playing the role of a tough Inspector General officer (Meera Deshmukh) and is quite excited about it.

Speaking about her role, Tabu said,

Now that I am playing an IG, the command over the force is much greater when you see it in the context of the film. It’s great that such a role was written for a woman. It could have easily been done by a man, but a woman is doing it.

Ace actor Ajay Devgan also stars in the film. He plays Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator. Meera’s son goes missing under mysterious circumstances and the prime suspect are Vijay and his family. The film will see Ajay and Tabu pitted against one another, both fighting for themselves and their loved ones. Will Meera find out what happened to her son? Is Vijay being framed or is there another mystery altogether?
