It was a beautiful night where the stars came together to celebrate the life and music of a global sensation, Amy Winehouse. Amy, a documentary directed by Asif Kapadia was premiered yesterday which was hosted by none other than Irrfan Khan in a suburban theater of Mumbai.
Irrfan stepped up for his dear friend, Asif Kapadia with whom he shares a great bond. Khan forayed into the World Cinema with the movie, The Warrior directed by Asif Kapadia. Amy is a narrative on the singer’s life and chronicles unseen footage from her life that will release across India today- 10th July by PVR Pictures under the Director’s rare Category.
The premiere was attended by the A-Listers from the film fraternity like Kangana Ranaut, Tabu, Anurag Kashyap, Radhika Apte, R. Balki, Gauri Shinde, Amol Gupte and may others. The evening concluded on a high note with the guests absolutely moved by the film and Asif’s direction.
