#SmoothieSunday: Get your protein with a Blueberry Protein Smoothie!

It’s that time of the month again where we bring you a delicious new smoothie recipe to try! We hand pick these recipes so that they are easy to make, healthy and of course delicious! This month we have a Blueberry Protein Smoothie! Blueberries are known to soften dry skin, boost your brain, helps avoid illnesses like urinary tract infecctions and new studies show it can even help you reduce the risk of cancer! This month’s smoothie not only has delicious and helpful blueberries but the protein filled Greek Yogurt and Almond milk!

Blueberries

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen Blueberries
  • 1 cup 2% fat Greek Yogurt
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1tbsp Hemp seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions:

Gather all your ingredients which can easily be found at your local supermarket. Take you blender and add in 1 cup of frozen blueberries and hemp seeds. Once these ingredients have been crushed add in 1 cup of 2% fat Greek Yogurt (fat free would be better but it doesn’t taste as great), 1/3 cup of unsweetened Almond Milk, and 1/4 tsp of Vanilla extract for some flavor. Blend, pour and enjoy!
