We had scouted for a good location for the song shoot and had narrowed down on a hillock near Vasind. The area was quite hilly and we had to trek for about an hour or so with heavy camera equipment to reach the place where we wanted to shoot. The trek was so taxing that one of our staffers had a panic attack and had to be sent down again while the rest moved on to reach the spot. Not only this, we had to wait for it to start raining as we did not want to use artificial rains for the song.
Kashyap stated that when it started raining, the place where they were shooting became slippery and the shoot continued despite the heavy gusts of wind. The entire team remained enthusiastic, and the weather conditions did not dampen their positive attitude. Kudos to the entire team of ‘Prime Time’ for shooting in these risky weather conditions! Kashyap also added,
We had been warned by the local forest officials that a person had died at the spot a day ago after slipping and falling down the cliff.
Fun fact: because the filmmakers wanted Shreya Ghoshal to lend her voice to the song, they waited a few months till she was available to record it. As producer Himanshu Kesari Patil put it,
We had decided long back that we wanted Shreya’s voice for the song and though she was busy at the time, we decided to wait for her rather than approach some other singer and the results have justified our wait.
Produced by Himanshu Kesari Patil and directed by Promod Kashyap under the banner Saranay Entertainment, ‘Prime Time’, which is slated to release on May 29th, stars Sulekha Talwalkar, Milind Shintre, Kishore Pradhan, Nisha Parulekar, Jayant Gadekar, Kritika Deo, and Anurag Worlikar.
