Anurag Kashyap, who is very supportive to his Gangs of Wasseypur writer, Zeishan Quadri, lent his hand to edit Zeishan’s upcoming film Meeruthiya Gangster.
When Zeishan approached Anurag for a feedback on his directorial debut, Anurag being an honest critic didn’t shy away.
He not only suggested a few changes, which Zeishan was glad to incorporate, but also edited 32 minutes off his film, Meeruthiya Gangster.
When debutant director was asked about it, he confirmed saying,
“When Anurag sir saw the film, he really liked it. However, he told me that he found the film a little long.”
He further added that Anurag took the charge of editing the film,
“He called in sometime and told me that he had decided to edit my film himself. He re-edited the entire film, cutting it down by 32 minutes which has made the film crispier and better.”
Meeruthiya Gangster is set to release in June!
