Making every girl’s dream of a regal bridal trousseau come true, Hyderabad based designer Anushree Reddy unveiled her stunning “The Royal Courtyard” collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015. After her debut at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013, Anushree Reddy has become one of the most popular brands.
The models glided down too the rocking singing of popular Bollywood numbers by award winning singer, Kanika Kapoor, who kept the tempo upbeat. It was a celebration of elegance and a tryst with royalty when Anushree recreated the glamor of opulence and grandeur associated with Nizams.
Anushree offered a feast of wedding lehengas, cholis and dupattas in fragile net with lush embroidery in gorgeous colors that created magic on the ramp. The fiery red/pink lehenga was the opening number that left the audience breathless. The embellishments glittered on the hemline and the swirling lehengas at times featured twinkling brocade lining under them. Pleating in contrast tones looked superb on a white voluminous lehenga; while a gentle floral print covered an occasional beauty.
Weaving her stunning creations around soft peach, light pink, warm blush and caramel tones, Anushree selected georgettes, silks and sheer tulles’ to add glamor. Embroidery was the foundation of the creations, however, it was used discreetly. Zardosi was blended with beading and twinkling crystals with shimmering gold and antique metallic silver.
Ileana D’cruz looked stunning as she swayed down the ramp in a pink lehenga with a beautiful gold necklace design embroidery and gold choli.
Anushree effortlessly merged Indian traditional with contemporary glamor in her The Royal Courtyard collection, which will turn any girl into a gorgeous, blushing and happy bride. Check out pictures from her collection below and let us know what you think of it in the comment section below.
