Actor-Producer Shreyas Talpade’s Marathi debut ‘Poshter Boyz’, which made quite an impact both amongst critics and audiences alike, added another feather in its cap over the weekend. The film was not just awarded the best debut film at the recently concluded Marathi International Cinema and Theater Awards 2015 (MICTA) but director Samir Patil also won the award for best debut director.
The talented Actor-Producer who had flown to Dubai to be a part of the award show immediately took to Social Media to express his happiness about the win. Shreyas tweeted about ‘the rocking party and described the awards as the ‘icing on the cake’.’ Commenting on the same, Shreyas said,
“Am really very happy that the hard work has been rewarded and Poshter Boyz by far has been one of my best and most fun projects till date.”
Poshter Boyz featured actors Hrishikesh Joshi, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Aniket Vishwasrao in lead roles playing characters wrongly identified as having undergone vasectomy. The film was received well and is also being remade in Hindi and several other languages. Shreyas recently also announced that there would be a sequel to the super-hit film and he would be directing the same.
