Fans of the gorgeous Drashti Dhami can get excited as the actress is back with a new show after a long sabbatical. This time she has been paired opposite the handsome Siddhant Karnick in Zee TV’s upcoming show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. The show is a period based drama and is set in the early 1940s. The first look of it seems very promising.

In the trailer we see Drashti riding a bicycle in a saree with a basket full of flowers. She’s riding by a huge palace. It seems Siddhant resides in the palace as we him leaving in a fleet of luxurious cars. As Drashti is riding by him, she loses her balance and falls. Siddhant comes out of his car and when Drashti gives him her hand to help her up, he chooses not to help her. This reaction angers Drashti and she gets up by herself and walks away.
Actors Uday Tikekar and Moon Banerjee have been roped in to play Drashti’s parents, while Kartik Soni has been roped in to play her elder brother in the show. Kartik will play a strict and firm man who is set in his own ideologies.
