Musicians turn actors for upcoming Marathi film Ishq Wala Love

The world of marathi cinema seems to be expanding with each passing day.  The movies they are making are gaining in popularity very quick. One movie that seems like it will resonate well with crowds is Renu Desai’s directorial debut, “Ishq Wala Love.”  Musician Vishwajeet, Lyricist Guru and talented singers singer Swapnil Bandodkar and Mangesh Borgaonkar will be seen in a new avatar in this film. The film stars Adinath Kothare and Sulagna Panigrahi in the lead roles.  The film is a complete family entertainer revolving around the growing debate of Live-in Relationships versus Marriage in today’s society.

While musicians featuring in promotional songs has been a common sight off late, Ishq Wala Love has them in more than cameos. Talking excitedly about the same director Renu Desai said,

“I was looking for someone to play Sulagna Panigrahi’s boss’ role in the film and Vishwajeet’s name came up. I asked him if he wanted to do the role and he agreed.”

Though Mangesh has only one scene in the film, his name keeps coming up throughout the film. Swapnil, who has acted in a film earlier, will be seen in the role of Sulagna’s colleague and Guru has a special appearance in the Adinath Kothare-Sulagna Panigrahi starrer. Guru, who is also writing the lyrics for the film, said,

“When Renu approached me, I saw the rough edit of the film. I liked it and therefore agreed to do a cameo in the film.”

Produced by Akira Films the movie also stars Bhargavi Chirmule, Leena Bhagwat, Satish Pulekar, amongst others and is slated to hit the silver screen on 10th October, 2014!
