Ever since Slumdog Millionaire, Hollywood has really begun to take notice of Bollywood. Recently, Hollywood actor, Martin Sheen (aka Charlie Sheen’s dad) gave an interview with Smriti Kiran on Anupama Chopra’s YouTube channel, ‘Film Companion’. In the interview, Martin talks about the experience of playing the character of Warren Anderson, the man embroiled in the controversy related to the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in his upcoming film ‘Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain’. He even talks about the making of his films like ‘Apocalypse Now’ and his stint with television.
‘Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain’ is a film based on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984, but introduces another side of reality about how the tragedy came to be. The film, written by Ravi Kumar and David Brooks, stars Martin Sheen, Mischa Barton, Kal Penn, Rajpal Yadav, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Fagun Thakrar. ‘Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain’, produced by Sahara Movie Studios and Rising Star Entertainment will release in India and abroad on 5th Dec, 2014.
