Expectations from the film are rife and it has managed to create quite a buzz on both sides of the border with its music making waves on all popular TV channels and the internet. Emraan Hashmi’s fans have been eagerly awaiting their favourite superstar’s next venture since his last Ghanchakar with Vidya Balan. On the other hand, the film has generated enough interest among cinegoers in Pakistan because of the sultry Bol-famed Humaima Malick making her Bollywood debut with the film.

The people of UAE have given the film thumbs-up and have loved Hashmi’s acting as a con man. The music and picturization of the songs have been called as one of the major attractions of the film. And the response to Humaima as a debutante has been extremely positive.

The Indian critics have also voiced their opinion on the film. India TV says the film “as a whole is different from expectations”. One of the most popular film critics of India, Taran Adarsh, in his review on Bollywood Hungama says,

“Emraan Hashmi is top rate as he delivers exactly what was expected of him… this film will surely live up to the audiences’ expectations from him”.

About Humaima’s performance, Adarsh says she “commands a strong screen presence” in the film and “does deserve brownie points for her confidence to stand against Emraan Hashmi”. Adarsh further says the film’s storyline “deserves applaud” and the choreography and screenplay “commendable”.

Overall, Humaima’s chemistry with Hashmi has been lauded by all and sundry and she looks very comfortable with the ‘serial kisser’ in all the promos and songs.
